Construct an isosceles right angled ∆ xyz in which y 90 and the two sides are 5cm each

Solution:

To construct a right-angled ΔABC, where ∠C = 90°, AC = 6 cm, and CA = 6 cm, draw a rough sketch for your reference and mark the measures.

Remember to mark the right angle and follow the steps given below.

Construct an isosceles right angled ∆ xyz in which y 90 and the two sides are 5cm each

Steps of construction:

  1. Draw a line segment AC of length 6 cm.
  2. At C, draw CX perpendicular AC.
  3. With C as the center, draw an arc of radius 6 cm which should intersect CX at point B.
