Die Flugnummer ist eine Ordnungszahl aus mehreren Chiffren und ist auf jedem Boarding Pass zu finden. Sie dient der Identifizierung von Flügen und hat meistens vier oder fünf Stellen. Zudem ist vor der Nummer ein zweistelliger Code vorzufinden, bei dem es sich den IATA-Code der Airline handelt, die den Flug durchführt. Die Flugnummer ist für Passagiere deshalb so wichtig, um bei der Reise eine bessere Orientierung zu haben. So kann der Flug mit der Flugnummer beim Online Check-in schneller gefunden werden und auch am Flughafen weiß man schneller, zu welchem Gate man muss. Geordnet werden die Flugnummern in der Regel nach bestimmten Regionen oder nach der Länge des Fluges. Bei der gemeinsamen Durchführung einer Flugverbindung von zwei Airlines gibt es auf dem Flugticket zwei unterschiedliche Flugnummern.

Wo man die Flugnummer findet

Allgemein kennzeichnet die Flugnummer einen bestimmten Flug einer bestimmten Airline. Klingt logisch, doch wo findet man diese in seinen Unterlagen? Neben der Bordkarte ist die Flugnummer unter anderem auch auf dem Ticket und der Buchungsbestätigung zu finden. In der Regel wird die Flugnummer dabei als „Flight“, „Flug“ oder schlicht „Flugnummer“ bezeichnet. 

Da die Boarding Pässe der verschiedenen Fluggesellschaften aber nicht genormt sind, kommt es häufig vor, dass die Flugnummer an verschiedenen Stellen zu finden ist. Der Trick, die Nummer dennoch zielsicher zu finden, liegt darin, zu verstehen wie diese aufgebaut ist.

Aufbau der Flugnummer

Die Flugnummer besteht üblicherweise aus einer ein- bis vierstelligen Zahlenfolge, der der sogenannte IATA-Code vorangestellt wird. Hört sich zunächst einmal verwirrend an, meint jedoch nichts anderes als das Airlinekürzel einer Fluggesellschaft. Für Air Berlin würde also beispielsweise „AB“ vor der Zahlenfolge genannt werden.

Das Airlinekürzel besteht zumeist aus ein bis drei Buchstaben, kann jedoch vereinzelt auch eine Ziffer enthalten, so wird TUIfly z.B. als „X3“ in der Flugnummer gekennzeichnet.

Jede Flugnummer wird pro Tag nur einmal vergeben, auch wenn die selbe Strecke mehrmals am Tag bedient wird. Kennt man Flugnummer und Datum, kann man daher auch Abflugort, Abflugzeit und Zielflughafen herausfinden. Bleiben wir bei dem Beispiel von Air Berlin, so bezeichnet die aktuell Flugnummer „AB6303“ den Air Berlin Flug um 12.30 Uhr von Hamburg nach München. Die Flugnummer kann aber auch neu vergeben werden, beispielsweise wenn eine Verbindung aufgegeben wird.

Check-in is the process you must complete in order to make your way through security and board your flight. This can be done either at the airport or more conveniently on line. In order to complete the check in process you will need a valid booking reference and valid passport. Should you choose Online Check-in you will also need to utilise our bag drop desks.

You can only check in and travel if you are the named passenger on the ticket providing a valid passport which we will use to check ID. Our tickets are non-transferable.

You must be at the boarding gate at least 25 minutes before the departure time. Your boarding gate will be announced via the departure information screens. Please keep in mind the amount of time it may take you to walk to the boarding gate depending on the airport you are departing from.

Yes, you can check-in your child if it is booked under the same reservation number (PNR).

The online check-in is not possible for children between 6 and 12 years of age if they are traveling alone as unaccompanied minors.

Passengers that have booked through a tour operator and who do not have a Corendon Airlines PNR can log into our system with the tour operator's reservation number.

Corendon Airlines check in desks open two and a half hours before your scheduled departure time and closes 60 minutes before. All passengers must provide a valid passport at check-in on all flights.

Once you arrive at the airport the departure monitors will let you know which desk you need to check in at.

Once you reach the desk you will be required to present a valid passport. If you have hold baggage this will be taken from you at the check in desk and weighed to ensure you are within your booked baggage allowance(please check your booking to confirm your allowance). Once your passport has been checked and your baggage weight verified you will be issued a boarding pass. Once you complete security please follow the information displayed on the airport departure screens. This is where your gate number will be displayed. Please note you must have a boarding pass in order to pass through security and board your flight.

If your ticket fare is Eco tariff and you don’t check-in online, you may need to pay for check-in at the airport.

Online check in is available depending on the airport and is free for all ticket types. If you don’t check-in online, you may need to pay for check-in at the airport. At the airports where online check-in is not available, airport check-in is free of charge. (Airports with Online Check-in available)

Corendon Airlines check in desks close 60 minutes before your scheduled time of departure.

You can complete Online Check-in via the Corendon Airlines website.

Online Check-in service is available to all passengers with the exception of passengers requiring special assistance and children who are travelling alone as an unaccompanied minor between the ages of 6 and 12 years of age.

Checking in online means you have the convenience of not queueing at the airport to check in. Bag drop is quick and efficient and if you have no luggage and you have either printed your boarding pass or downloaded it to your phone you are able to go directly through security to the departure lounge.

You are not required to have a copy of your e-ticket printed however, it is advisable to have this saved in your smartphone or electronic device in case of any issues.

An online check-in cannot be cancelled.

If a seat reservation has not been made, the system automatically assigns the seats during online check-in. Incorrect data (e.g. passport data) can be corrected at the check-in counter and automatically assigned seats can be changed according to availability.

Please note regardless of your ticket fare type flights are non-refundable 48 hrs before departure.

If you have checked in online and have not printed your boarding pass our Check-in staff will be happy to print this for you.

If you have luggage to go into the hold of the aircraft you will need to drop these at the bag drop desk open for your flight.

Our check in desks close 60 minutes before your scheduled departure time and all of your check in processes must be completed by this time. We recommend leaving sufficient time to ensure this is completed.

Yes, if you have completed Online Check-in and have either printed your boarding pass or downloaded this to either your smartphone or electronic device and you have no hold luggage then you can pass through security and make your way to the departure lounge and boarding gate.

Online check-in opens 7 days before the scheduled departure time up to 5 hours before departure.
