 Show Office 2021 ist die aktuelle Version von Microsoft Office. Das als Einmallizenz erhältliche Paket aus Word, Excel, PowerPoint und Co. erschien im Oktober 2021 gemeinsam mit der neuen Windows-Version Windows 11. Wie mit jedem aktualisierten Release hat Microsoft Office auch 2021 wieder einige neue Features spendiert, die die Arbeit mit den verschiedenen Büroanwendungen einfacher und interessanter gestalten sollen. Mit diesem Beitrag wollen wir Ihnen einen kleinen Einblick in die neuen Features geben und beschreiben, inwiefern Office 2021 Unterschiede zur vorangegangenen Version Office 2019 aufweist. Diese Editionen gibt es Im weiteren Artikel werden wir uns vor allem mit den Anwendungen Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote und Outlook beschäftigen. Während die ersten vier Programme bereits in der kostengünstigen Home-&-Student-Edition von Office 2021 enthalten sind, gibt es Outlook erst ab der Home-&-Business-Edition dazu. Als dritte Ausgabe von Office 2021 bietet Microsoft die Professional-Edition an, die zusätzlich zu den übrigen Programmen Zugriff auf die Desktop-Publishing-Software Publisher und die Datenbank Microsoft Access bietet. Office 2021 Auf den ersten Blick fällt auf, dass Office 2021 im Vergleich zu Office 2019 optisch an vielen Stellen aufpoliert wurde. So folgt das frische Office-Paket jetzt der Designsprache von Windows 11: Fensterecken sind abgerundet, die Icons in den Ribbon-Menüs im Sinne des Fluent Designs flacher und stärker stilisiert als in früheren Office-Versionen. Dadurch fühlt sich Office auf dem Desktop aufgeräumter und ordentlicher an. Beim Umstieg braucht es aber ein paar Tage, bis die Bedeutung der neuen Icons verinnerlicht ist. Dank dem neuen Feature Skizzierter Stil ist es jetzt in Word und Powerpoint möglich, geometrische Formen wie Rechtecke, Kreise oder Dreiecke so darzustellen, dass sie wie von Hand gezeichnet aussehen. Gerade Präsentationen können dadurch erheblich aufgelockert werden und wirken (speziell bei etwas trockeneren Themen) direkt viel lebendiger. Aber auch in ausgedruckten Word-Dokumenten oder exportierten PDFs machen die skizzierten Formen sich gut. Mit PowerPoint ist es jetzt zudem möglich, Präsentationen direkt in ein Videoformat zu exportieren. Auch Sprachaufnahmen zu den einzelnen Folien können direkt eingesprochen und mit dem Video exportiert werden. Das ist ideal, um Präsentationen für die Wiederverwendung im Web anzubieten. Auch um den Besucherinnen und Besuchern eines Vortrags das Präsentationsmaterial mit einem Mehrwert für die Nachbereitung zur Verfügung zu stellen, ist der Videoexport gut geeignet. Die wohl wichtigsten neuen Features gibt es aber für Excel-Nutzerinnen und -Nutzer. Mit den Formel-Features XLOOKUP, XMATCH und LET wird es möglich, Excel wie eine rudimentäre Datenbank zu nutzen und große Mengen an Zellen auf einmal auf bestimmte Schlüsselwörter hin zu untersuchen. Zweifelsohne werden diese neuen Befehle schon in naher Zukunft in viele Tabellen Einzug erhalten.Kollaboration Über alle Officeanwendungen hinweg unterstützt Office 2021 jetzt erstmals das bereits vom Abodienst Microsoft 365 bekannte Kollaborationsfeature. Wird ein Office-Dokument (egal ob Word, Excel oder PowerPoint) per Microsoft OneDrive gespeichert, ist es nun möglich, die Datei noch während der Bearbeitung für andere Nutzerinnen und Nutzer freizugeben. Änderungen werden dann in Echtzeit synchronisiert. Gerade wenn eine Datei während einer Videokonferenz zusammen bearbeitet werden soll, ist das perfekt. Aber natürlich kann das gemeinsame Bearbeiten von Texten, Tabellen oder Präsentationen auch bei anderen Gelegenheiten sinnvoll sein. Durch die direkte Integration von Microsoft Teams in alle Office-2021-Anwendungen wird der Austausch von Textnachrichten oder der spontane Aufbau einer Voice- oder Videochatverbindung zum Kinderspiel. Leider sind die Kollaborationsfunktionen in dieser Form ausschließlich für Office-2021-Nutzerinnen und -Nutzer verfügbar. Solange also viele andere Anwenderinnen und Anwender noch auf Office 2019 setzen, ist die Zusammenarbeit über das neue Feature nur bedingt möglich. Auch OneNote bietet mit Office 2021 noch mehr Möglichkeiten, Notizen mit anderen Office-Nutzerinnen und -Nutzern zu teilen. Grundsätzlich ist das aber auch bereits mit der in Office 2019 enthaltenen OneNote-Version möglich. OneNote wird unabhängig vom restlichen Office-Paket mit Updates versorgt.Hardwareanforderungen Wie Office 2019 erfordert Office 2021 einen PC mit mindestens Windows 10. Zudem müssen mindestens 4 GB RAM und genauso viel freier Festplattenspeicher vorhanden sein, um alle Anwendungen nutzen zu können. Für Office 2019 waren in der Minimalkonfiguration nur 2 GB RAM erforderlich. Bei den Anforderungen an den Prozessor ist Office 2021 im Vergleich zur Vorversion dagegen sogar sparsamer geworden: Ein Dualcore-Prozessor mit zweimal 1,1 GHz Leistung reicht laut Microsoft aus, um das neue Office zu nutzen. Wie Office 2019 ist auch Office 2021 neben der inzwischen als Standard definierten 64-Bit-Version auch als 32-Bit-Variante verfügbar. Office 2021 kann damit weiterhin auf moderat leistungsfähigen Büro-PCs genutzt werden. Für die Mac-Version gilt dasselbe. Längere Versorgung mit Patches und Bugfixes Ein wichtiger Aspekt für die Nutzerinnen und Nutzer von Office-Software ist meist auch die Frage, für welchen Zeitraum Microsoft die Anwendungen mit Sicherheitspatches und Bugfixes versorgt. Während der Mainstream-Support für Microsoft Office 2019 bereits im Oktober 2023 ausläuft, wird das neue Office 2021 immerhin bis 2026 mit Fixes versorgt. Sicherheitspatches gibt es für Office 2019 noch bis 2025, für das neue Office 2021 sogar bis Oktober 2027. Gerade im geschäftlichen Umfeld kann es also sinnvoll sein, sich so früh wie möglich mit dem Upgrade auf die neue Office-Version auseinanderzusetzen. Der Umstieg von Office 2019 auf die 2021er-Version ist zunächst vor allem eine Frage der Bequemlichkeit. Wer vor allem mit Word und PowerPoint arbeitet erhält zwar eine Reihe neuer Komfort-Features, braucht die neue Version aber (zumindest solange es noch Sicherheitspatches für Office 2019 gibt) nicht zwingend. Die neuen Kollaborationsfunktionen sind zwar toll und auch definitiv ein Argument für das Upgrade auf die aktualisierte Version, lassen sich aber nur im Zusammenspiel mit anderen Anwenderinnen und Anwendern nutzen, die bereits auf Office 2021 umgestiegen sind. Noch dürften das nur vergleichsweise wenige sein. In ein bis zwei Jahren kann das aber bereits ganz anders aussehen.Auch für Nutzerinnen und Nutzer von Outlook steht vor allem die Kooperation mit anderen im Mittelpunkt. Die jetzt wesentlich tiefere Integration der E-Mail- und Kalendersuite mit Microsoft Teams macht das Update schon jetzt attraktiv. Wer vor allem mit Excel arbeitet, sollte das Upgrade auf Office 2021 so früh wie möglich ins Auge fassen. Die neuen Formel-Funktionen sind nicht nur praktisch, sondern dürften schon bald in viele Vorlagen und die Spreadsheets von Kolleginnen und Kollegen Einzug erhalten. Es ist daher sinnvoll, sich so früh wie möglich in XLOOKUP, XMATCH, LET und Co. einzuarbeiten und vor allem über eine aktuelle Excel-Version zu verfügen, die mit den neuen Formeln auch vollständig umgehen kann.

When you choose one of the subscriptions, you should get the yearly plan to save money, plus you do not have to worry about payments throughout the year. The company also offers the service at no extra cost using a valid school email address if you are a student or teacher. This plan lets you install Word, Excel, OneNote, PowerPoint, Microsoft Teams, and other school tools for free. Windows 7 is no longer supported, which means that you will need to upgrade to Windows 11 or at least upgrade to Windows 10 to install the apps. If you want to install Office on Windows 8.1, you must use a Microsoft 365 subscription.
