Rap-rock act Kottonmouth Kings are in mourning as former masked member Patrick "Pakelika" Cochrun has passed away at the age of 34. Singer Brad "Daddy X" Xavier first posted the news on Facebook that his former hype man was admitted to the hospital due to "serious health issues," with the announcement of his passing coming an hour later. The musician's manager, Doug Cosgro, stated, "There's no way he could have foreseen the severity of his last seizure. On the way to the hospital, EMTs and hospital staff tried to revive him and on the fifth time, he flatlined. He was on life support until Saturday afternoon (Aug. 12) at Providence St. Joseph Hospital in Burbank. He passed surrounded by friends and family." The official cause of death was listed as cardiac arrest during an asthma attack. The band also issued a statement that reads as follows:
Cochrun left the band in 2010 due to internal conflicts and to pursue and acting career.
