It’s the LA Dodgers vs Miami Marlins this Sunday, August 28 at 12:00 PM ET on Peacock. 18 MLB games will be featured on the streaming service this season. Live coverage begins at 11:30 a.m ET. See below for additional information on how to watch the game. RELATED: MLB teams to play all 29 opponents under ’23 balanced sked LA DodgersThe LA Dodgers have the best record in the Majors and while there is still so much baseball left to be played this season, Los Angeles has quickly become the favorite to win the 2022 World Series. The Dodgers have won 18-of-22 games this month, including a commanding sweep over the Miami Marlins last weekend who have arguably one of the best pitchers in the league in Sandy Alcantara. Former NL MVP Freddie Freeman and SS Trey Turner have dominated the Dodgers lineup and currently lead the league in hits. RELATED: Dodgers All-Star Buehler has 2nd career Tommy John surgery Miami MarlinsThe Miami Marlins, who have not had a winning record in a full season since 2009, currently sit fourth in the NL East and far from Wild Card position with the fourth-worst team OPS and the fourth-fewest amount of runs scored this season. The absence of All-Star second baseman Jazz Chisholm Jr. who has been out since late June with a lower back stress fracture has certainly been felt in the lineup and right now Miami desperately needs other guys to step up. Marlins Shortstop Miguel Rojas says the team is definitely feeling the pressure. “This offense can be so much better,” Rojas told reporters at the Miami Herald. “We just need to be in the same kind of group and in sync and we’re not there. We’ve been battling.” RELATED: MLB schedule 2022: Every Sunday morning baseball game on Peacock, matchups, what to know How to watch LA Dodgers vs Miami Marlins:

He will do that again Saturday. Rob Thomson said he has recommended Castellanos take a minor-league rehab but Castellanos can decline. Castellanos has been on the injured list only three times in his career and he has never gone on a minor-league rehab -- at his choice. If he returns without a rehab, he would be platooned to start. 0 It's no secret how valuable J.T. Realmuto is to the Phillies. But it is remarkable how wide the gap is between him and every other catcher. He has a 108.2-inning lead (equivalent to 12 full games) on Sean Murphy for innings caught. It would be the largest gap from 1st place to 2nd place in innings caught in MLB since 2004 when Jason Kendall (1259.0) led Brian Schneider (1114.0) by 145.0 innings. 3 Andrew Painter, here to receive his Paul Owens Award for the best pitcher in the organization this season, said he was proud to reach 100 innings. How does he make the push to target 150-200 innings? "Really, I think it's just work ethic," Painter said. "Making sure I'm not going through the motions. Making sure there is attention to detail in every little thing you do. Prioritizing the arm care." 1 Bob Myers said the Warriors will meet with Jordan Poole's representation to discuss a possible contract extension after the upcoming Tokyo trip. So early October. It'll be the first substantial negotiations between the sides. 0 The Warriors expect everyone healthy and ready for their first practice on Saturday, per Steve Kerr. No restrictions on Ryan Rollins or Patrick Baldwin Jr., the rookies who dealt with issues over the summer. First full training camp for James Wiseman. 1 The Phillies announced their end-of-season organizational awards:Paul Owens Award (best pitcher) - Andrew PainterPaul Owens Award (best hitter) - Darick HallJohn Vukovich Award (top instructor) - Marty Malloy Dallas Green Award (top scout) - Zach Friedman 4 Nick Castellanos continues to do more work as he recovers from an oblique strain. He could go to Triple-A Lehigh Valley this weekend for a quick rehab assignment. That would put him on track to return next week when the Phillies begin a season-ending road trip. Additionally, Zach Eflin's status is in question because he had some back spasms that prevented him from pitching over the weekend. 2 |
