The Greek gods would 'smite' those that acted poorly, often resulting in death or major industry. Some acts that may result in punishment include murder, gluttony, adultery, gambling, to name a few. In ancient Greece, nature was believed to be the gods at work, so A is incorrect as they believed the gods were in control of nature. B and C are also incorrect because they felt if they acted in the correct manner, they could avoid the gods wrath.
