What does ride the bus mean drinking

A dealer in charge of a pyramid of cards must flip over the first row of cards one by one to reveal them. The drinking game goes on and any players that have a matching card can lay it down and make another player drink. It's a learn as you go game, laid back kind of drinking game.

AlcoholOne full deck of cards (two if in a large group)

3 or more players

A dealer is chosen and they must shuffle the cards.Put down the 1st row of cards  which has 4 cards laying facedown. This 1st row represents having to take 1 drink. The 2nd row of cards has 3 facedown cards and represents having to drink two times. The 3rd row of cards has 2 cards and represents having to drink three times. The final row has only 1 card laying facedown to finish the pyramid. This last card represents having to drink four times. After the pyramid is created then the remaining cards are passed out evenly to everyone playing. The dealer starts the game by flipping one card over in the 1st row of cards. Each player who has a matching card must lay it down.Since they have a matching card they get to make 1 other person drink. If a player has multiple matching cards they can give out multiple drinks.Once the first row of cards is flipped over, the dealer starts to flip over the 2nd row.In the second row, players that have a matching card can give out two drinks. Either to the same person or two different people.Players who match cards in the third row can give out three drinks to anyone they want.

For cards matched in the fourth row players give out four drinks.

After the first part is over and all cards have been flipped over. The two people with the most cards in hand still must face off and Ride the BusThe deck is shuffled again and 10 cards are drawn face down. The two players then take turns flipping a card over to reveal what they have to do.

If the card is an Ace that player must take 4 drinks

If the card is a King that players must take 3 drinks

If the card is a Queen that player must 2 drinks

If the card is a Jack they must take 1 drink

Any cards 2 through 10 mean players don't have to take a drink.

The two players with the most cards are the losers and face-off in Ride The BusThe dealer can choose to play along if they want however dealers are not safe from drinking.Cards are flipped over one by one in rotation. There is no winner in the Ride The Bus round. This is meant to be a punishment for whoever loses.More rows can be added to the pyramid of cards so more drinks can be given. Highly recommended for large groups!Drinking rules for each row can be changed to make different variations.

If you need to get some beer drank, this is the game.  A fast-paced, relatively simple card game that involves a heavy amount of drinking for certain players.  Best played in moderation.

What You Need

  • A Deck of Cards.  Sometimes played with 2 decks if you have a large group
  • Lots of Beer.  You drink a lot in this game, hard liquor would be extreme.
  • 3 or more People
  • Table or Playing Surface

Ride the Bus!

First, the dealer creates a card pyramid on the table.  The pyramid can have 4 or 5 rows, depending on the number of players you have.  The first row has one card, second has 2, third has 3, fourth has 4, etc.  Cards are laid face down.

Once the pyramid is created, the remaining cards are dealt to all of the players.  Some rules suggest only dealing 3 or 4 cards to each player, do what works for you.

Pyramid Time.  The Dealer turns over the card in the first row.  Row 1 had one card, and is worth 1 drink.  If any players have that same numbered card, they lay it down and give 1 drink to any Player of their choice.  If a Player has two of that number, he can give out 2 drinks.

Continue on to the second row.  Each card here is worth 2 drinks.  If a Player has more than one of a number, each card is worth 2 more drinks.  Players give out drinks as each card is flipped.  Multiple drinks can be divided among players.

The Dealer flips over the remaining cards, one row at a time.  The third row is 3 drinks, fourth is 4, etc..  When all of the cards in the pyramid have been flipped over, the person with the most cards left gets to Ride the Bus!  In the case of a tie, any Players who have tied must Ride the Bus.

Riding the Bus.  The Dealer lays out 8-10 cards in a row, face down.  He starts by flipping them over one card at a time.  If numbered cards are turned over (2-10), nothing happens and the next card is turned.  If face cards are turned over, the fun begins.  If a Jack is turned over, anyone Riding the Bus must take one drink, and the dealer will add another card to the row.  Queens are 2 drinks and two new cards, Kings are 3 drinks and three cards added, and Aces are 4 drinks to each rider and four more cards added to the row.

Continue turning cards until face cards are avoided and the row has been completely overturned.  In case of some really awful luck, the deck can be reshuffled if additional cards are needed.

Riding the Bus can mean a to of drinking.  Please play in moderation and know your limits.

Ride The Bus OR Fuck The Bus Drinking Game was submitted by The God of Games.

OVERVIEW of Ride The Bus OR Fuck The Bus Drinking Game:

A game that can lead to a lot of drinking if you manage to get a good hand of cards.

If you like the game Pyramid and are finding it too easy then this is the game for you. The God of Games has taken things to a new level and introduced even more ways that could have you drinking. He enjoys watching mortals suffer from hangovers the next day.

Take the time to read the rules below and pray you’re not the one with the hangover the next day.

Here’s What You Need:

  • Alcohol
  • A minimum of 4 people… Ideally. It can be played with less.
  • Space to lay out all the cards

The Rules:

The aim of this game is to hope that the 4 cards you have are within the give rows of the pyramid and not the take (image below to explain).

To get the 4 cards you must first guess the colour of the card, then whether it’s higher or lower than the first card, then whether the next card it going to in-between or outside the previous two and then finally the suit. You go around the table doing one card at a time.

Once everyone has 4 cards you lay out the pyramid.

Then turn one card over at a time within the pyramid starting off at the “take 1” row and then make you way up the rows.

Hopefully, you have the card that is in the give 6 row and then you can dish out some punishment!

When you give drinks you can either split them between people or give all drinks to one person. It all depends if there is someone that doesn’t appear drunk enough or you think needs payback for getting you in a previous game.

The only difference is… when you’re at the pyramid all the rows are giving rows. In this version of the game, you have to give the cards to the person you want to make drink.

The cards can be played more than once. For example, if you were given the 4 of hearts on row 2 and another 4 appears later on, you can give that 4 of hearts to someone else.

At the end of the pyramid, whoever has the most cards has to Ride The Bus.

Riding The Bus

The whole deck is turned upside down and the person riding the bus must guess the colour of the cards as they are being turned over. Players must guess 5 correct IN A ROW. If they get it wrong, they drink and have to try again to get 5 correct guesses in a row.

Enjoy

THE RULES IN BITE SIZE CHUNKS:

Same as Pyramids

  • Everyone gets to dealt 4 cards, face up, one at a time in a clockwise direction.
    • The first card, you guess the colour
    • The second card, you guess whether it’s higher or lower than your first.
    • The third card, you guess if it’s inside or outside your two cards.
    • The fourth card, you guess the suit.
  • If you’re wrong, you take a drink.
  • Then you make a pyramid, where you then turn cards over one at a time and either take X amount of drinks or give X amount of drinks.
  • You keep hold of the card. You don’t give them away when you make someone drink. The card can be used more than once.

Except

  • All cards are dealt face down so the other players can’t see what cards people have.
  • All rows are give drinks.
  • Players must give their card to whomever they wish to make drink.
  • Players can give away cards they have been given if the card appears AGAIN in the pyramid.
  • Whoever has the most cards at the end of the pyramid, rides the bus.
