Alan Ritchson looked every bit the leading man as he attended the premiere of Amazon Prime's new series Reacher in Los Angeles on Wednesday night. The 39-year-old actor, who plays the action series' titular character, was joined on the red carpet by his stunning wife Catherine Ritchson. Alan planted a sweet kiss on Catherine, who he married in 2006, as they posed for shutterbugs before heading inside the theater for the screening. The eight-episode series is set to premiere via Amazon Prime on Friday, February 4. Being that the action hero is described as being '6ft5in and 250pounds,' Alan had to majorly bulk up his 6foot3inch frame for the role of Jack Reacher. Speaking to EW last month, Alan talked about being intimated by all of the fight choreography he had to learn.

Pumped: Before the screening of the first one or two episodes of Reacher commenced, Alan got on the microphone to address the eager crowd 'I've come to be comfortable taking on outsized roles. Reacher has incredibly large shoes to fill; he's a bit of a superhero,' he explained. 'I felt intimidated learning the fight choreography. This fighting style, I was on my heels, wondering if I could pull it off. It's so precise. We rebuilt me as a fighter. 'Some of the fights that we spent a month and a half learning are just three minutes on screen, but the fans deserve to see somebody move the way that a killing machine like him can.'

The character was previously brought to life by 5ft7in Tom Cruise for Jack Reacher in 2012 and Jack Reacher: Never Go Back in 2016, which amassed $380.4M at the box office. Before landing his breakout role on Smallville, Ritchson kicked off his career, at age 20, modeling for Abercrombie & Fitch and appearing on the third season of Fox's American Idol in 2004.
