In its latest ad, Lincoln gives its flagship Navigator vehicle the cosmic royal treatment. The campaign, led by agency Hudson Rouge, features a stunning spot via Serial Pictures and a new streamable track from artist Ruelle. “Full Moon” finds the legacy vehicle gliding down a single road on an extraterrestrial landscape. Rocky ridges spike the street’s surroundings, funneling the scene’s focus beyond the car to a gigantic moon in the distance. The camera floats weightlessly through the surreal spot, resting not just on the Navigator’s features, but suspended dust particles, the foggy landscape and passengers’ awed expressions. All of this set to a cover of the Police’s “Walking on the Moon” by Ruelle. The song’s lunar-themed lyrics give way to a crashing, careening instrumentation reminiscent of scenes from Christopher Nolan’s “Interstellar.” It is available to stream on Apple Music, Spotify and Tidal. The video highlights the latest Navigator's hands-free feature, ActiveGlide, under the brand’s “power of sanctuary” tagline. The spot was directed by Daniel Askill, whose work on Sia’s “Chandelier” and Lady Gaga’s “Stupid Love” music videos hold similarly dreamlike qualities, with cinematography by Natasha Braier, who’s also lent her skills to “The Neon Demon” and “Honey Boy.”
In November, Lincoln released a new TV spot for their Wish List event. It gives you everything you’d expect from an ad this time of year. Snow, families, and whimsy with a jazzy up-beat tune in the background. Sure, the commercial is cute and that new Lincoln Aviator looks nice. However the most interesting thing in the ad isn’t what you see, it’s the song that plays in the background. In fact, many learned about her after watching the Lincoln ad. Her smoky, sophisticated vocal delivery on “It’s a Most Unusual Day” drove several people to look for the rest of her catalog and learn more about the woman behind the voice. Unfortunately, Kenney committed suicide 61 years ago. Before she died, it looked like everything was going well for Beverly Kenney. She was an up-and-coming jazz singer and was getting rave reviews all around. According to The New York Post, one critic of the day compared her to icons like Billie Holiday and Ella Fitzgerald. That praise came after she released her debut album in 1956. In 1957, she released Beverly Kenney Sings for Playboys. Beverly Kenney sang at the Village Vanguard and Birdland. She shared the stage with Miles Davis, Tito Puente, Art Blakey, and Tommy Dorsey. Her career kept going up. She was destined to be a jazz legend. And then, Beverly Kenney VanishedOne day, Beverly Kenney was just gone. She stopped singing and started working in an office in Manhattan. She moved to a one-room apartment at the University Residence Hotel in the borough’s Greenwich Village. On April 12, 1960, the day before she committed suicide, Beverly Kenny had dinner with her father. The next day, she turned her radio up so loud that police received several noise complaints. When they entered her apartment, they found her on her bed dressed in a pink nightgown and surrounded by empty liquor bottles and an empty bottle of sleeping pills. She left no note. To this day, no one knows why she did it. Her father, when questioned, said that his daughter seemed fine the night before. However, a short documentary about her life states that people close to Kenney said that she dealt with undiagnosed and untreated mental health issues. But, we’ll likely never know for sure why Kenney decided to take her own life or why she walked aware from her budding career. Today, her song is attached to the most-viewed TV ad of the season and she’s getting more attention than she has in decades.
 Lincoln Canada continues its “Power of Sanctuary” campaign with a new installment. The 60-second ad aims to give an answer to the question “What does the PowerOfSanctuary feel like?”, explaining that it’s a little bit like walking on the moon and illustrating this idea by featuring a family on a road trip to the Moon. The spot features a man driving the Lincoln Navigator with available ActiveGlide technology down a road that leads to the Moon. It’s dark and the view they see consists of rocks of different shapes and sizes. When the Moon appears in front of them, the man’s daughter, a curly-haired young girl, becomes almost breathless and feels transported right to the Moon, walking on its surface. As the spot ends, it turns out she was actually watching a movie about the Moon on the screen she has in front of her and listening to “Walking on the Moon“. The track marks the newest single by American electropop singer-songwriter Ruelle (known as Maggie Eckford or Margaret Eckford) and is included on her 2022 album of the same name. The Lincoln Navigator has also been promoted by Serena Williams, who is a Lincoln brand ambassador in February 2018. The automaker has also teamed up with Golden Globe- and Emmy-winner and Academy Award-nominee Jon Batiste to promote its 2021 Nautilus, Matthew McConaughey, who is also a brand ambassador and touted the 2019 Nautilus.
Lincoln Commercial Song is called ‘It’s a Most Unusual Day’ performed by American singer, song writer ‘Beverly Kenney’.
