Disney Plus is finally upon us. For viewers outside of the US and The Netherlands, it’s been a long and painful wait, with a serious risk of encountering spoilers from hit new shows like The Mandalorian airing months ahead of the service’s global launch. Show If you’re hoping to be streaming Disney Plus on a Samsung television, however, there's a cut-off point at which your set may be too old to support the flashy Disney streaming app. Samsung has announced that new Samsung TVs released from 2016 onwards will be perfectly capable of supporting the service, with the app being available for download on Samsung’s Tizen smart TV platform – or pre-installed on 2020 models – and compatible with the Bixby smart assistant for voice control options. Hisense TVs, LG TVs, and Philips TVs support Disney Plus too (in case you have more than one TV in your home). Wer Disney+ auf einem Samsung Smart-TV schauen möchte, hat aktuell mitunter Pech. Denn wie der Video-Streaming-Dienst jetzt mitteilt, funktioniert die App des Anbieters auf einigen älteren Geräten derzeit nicht. Samsung und Disney arbeiten an einer Lösung. Wer einen älteren Samsung Smart TV nutzt, kann aktuell mitunter nicht auf Disney+ zugreifen. Beim Start der App erscheint die Fehlermeldung "We're having a problem, Exiting the App...Error Code: 1016 - App_Config_Failure" ist im Samsung-Forum sowie auf Twitter zu lesen. Betroffen sind laut Disney und Samsung Smart TVs aus dem Jahr 2016. Beide Unternehmen versichern bereits, an einer Lösung zu arbeiten. Im Samsung-Forum melden nun auch erste Nutzer, dass die App wieder funktioniere. Allerdings sei weiterhin keine Wiedergabe von 4K-Inhalten auf den älteren Samsung-Fernsehern möglich.
