The Masked Singer is returning to the Wild West for a second round. Miss Teddy, one of the cutest masked singers yet, is competing this time. Of course we are dying to know, who is hiding behind Miss Teddy's mask?

In Round 2, The Masked Singer divided the competitors into three groups: The Good, the Bad, and the Cuddly. Miss Teddy, of course, represents the Cuddly team. If she can win in Round 2, she will advance directly to the finals. As of now, the finals will include Firefly, who won Round 1.

Can Miss Teddy and her team take the win in Round 2?

During Round 2 of the competition, Miss Teddy was the first masked celebrity to be introduced. Her cuddly clue package featured her displaying her own Ted Bed among the clouds. A plush Santa Claus could also be seen chilling on a cloud while two of the men in black, dressed in gospel robes, engaged in a pillow fight. Miss Teddy stated that she needs beauty sleep because she is constantly reinventing herself.

She then displayed the bad side of her bed, which had a pile of trash, as well as the good side, which had a director's chair with a cry-laughing emoji on it. Miss Teddy urged everyone to stay on the "cuddly" side and demonstrated how one of the men in black dreamed of a caterpillar turning into a butterfly while lying in it.

Miss Teddy got the audience up and dancing when she sang Taylor Dayne's "Tell It To My Heart." McCarthy speculated that she could be Jill Scott after hearing her powerful vocals. Thicke suspected it was CeCe Peniston. Scherzinger recognized the voice and assumed it belonged to Loretta Devine.

The Masked Singer airs on Fox on Wednesday nights at 8 p.m. ET. All episodes are available on Hulu the day after they air.

Miss Teddy was one of the contestants on the latest season of the American reality series, The Masked Singer.

A member of Team Cuddly, Miss Teddy is a giant orange bear featuring a set of dimples and a pink bow.

On the April 13 episode of The Masked Singer, there were two eliminations, one of them was Armadillo.

The other elimination of the night was Miss Teddy, who was revealed to be the singer Jennifer Holliday.

Guest panelist Leslie Jordan and Nicole both guessed Holliday.

The other characters of Team Cuddly include Baby Mammoth, Lemur, Space Bunny, and Thingamabob.

As much fun as it is to watch the celebrities perform on “The Masked Singer,” we get even more enjoyment from figuring out who they are. That is especially true if we can crack the mystery of who is hiding inside a costume before the four judges (Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy, Nicole Scherzinger, Robin Thicke).

Season 7 of “The Masked Singer” promises to be the most competitive yet. The producers have packed the line-up with 16 stars performing inside 15 costumes (a pair were paired up as Hydra). They are divided into three types, the Good, the Bad and the Cuddly, and performed in groups of five. Group A is down to just one star still standing, the Firefly. Group B sang for the first time on March 30, with Lemur unmasked as supermodel Christie Brinkley. On April 6, we saw the exit of Hydra, who turned out to be magicians Penn & Teller.

We’ve been reviewing all the clues for for the three remaining contestants in Group B and have all “The Masked Singer” spoilers, including the answer to the question, “Who is Miss Teddy”? We were wowed on March 30 by her first performance of the dance classic “Tell it to My Heart” by Taylor Dayne, aka Popcorn. And we loved her letting loose in her second appearance on April 6 with “Tell Me You Love Me” by Demi Lovato.

We think that Miss Teddy is Jennifer Holliday, the Tony Award-winning star of “Dreamgirls.” That musical is referenced in the first cluemercial for Miss Teddy, with the shot of the Ted Bed (a place where you go to sleep and dream).

The bed is rainbow colored; Jennifer Holliday became a LGBTQ icon for her powerhouse performance as Effie White in “Dreamgirls.” Her rendition of that show’s signature tune, “And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going,” on the 1982 Tony Awards played on a constant loop in gay bars for decades.

Jennifer won Best Female R&B Vocal Performance at the 1983 Grammys for a studio version of that song. She picked up a second trophy in 1986 in the category of Best Inspirational Performance for “Come Sunday.” She contended twice more for music’s highest honor, thus accounting for four of the 15 Grammy nominations of the season 7 contestants on “The Masked Singer.”  The MegaClue for Miss Teddy in her second appearance that she had won a Grammy.

The shot of the pillow fight put us in mind of the title of Jennifer’s first Broadway show, “Your Arms Too Short to Box with God.”

And those images of the choir robes and the director’s chair made us think of her recurring role on TV’s “Ally McBeal” as choir director Lisa Knowles.

We also saw a little Santa Claus, a figure associated with Christmas, the biggest holiday (get it) of the year.

Jennifer has been candid about her clinical depression, which ties into Miss Teddy saying, “Lay your head down in December, next thing you know, it’s May!” She has come through the other side, much like the butterfly emerging from the cocoon in the video. Her motto could well be “I Will Survive,” the song she gives a shout-out to in her second interview, quoting the lyric “Once I was afraid, I was petrified.”

Miss Teddy readily admits to reinventing herself as has Jennifer. Over the past four decades, Holliday has had hits in several genres including disco, R&B and gospel. She is acclaimed for both her solo singing gigs as well as her work with symphonies. And she has returned to Broadway several times, most recently in the musical version of “The Color Purple.”
