How to write po box address on amazon

Rather than a problem, having a customer provide both a PO & a street address is a good thing. It gives you the flexibility as to where to ship & thus how to ship that is essential for heavier packages.

The USPS is supposed to default to delivery to the last address provided, if two are shown. That is, if you list both a street address and a PO box in that order, it should go to the PO Box.

You can choose to eliminate one address or the other if you wish to make it certain where to deliver. This is helpful to you when using signature confirmation as they are almost certain to get it at a PO but they sometimes forget at a residence.

The zip codes are unlikely to be identical, and the zip+4 will NEVER be the same. But given an address & a correct city, address verification will provide the correct zip+4 for the last address provided. You can use this to collect the full address info for both street & PO.

Now, if only Amazon would do even minimal address verification on the front end, it would eliminate the too many situations where customers don’t seem to known what planet they are on.

Amazon Australia, or US?

Anyway – yes, it's annoying when some sellers won't accept what is a legitimate address as far as Aus Post is concerned. Sometimes and especially for domestic sellers, it's because they are validating addresses either against the Australian address database, or some general check of their own (first line of address must start with a number and so on). Overseas sellers can sometimes say "wtf is that?" to a Parcel Collect address.

One option might be to put the street address of the Post Office in the first line, and the Parcel Collect info in the second. Or use the "Company" line if there is one, for the Parcel Collect info.

End of the day, some senders can't / won't deal with it, unfortunately.
