How to get dream skin in minecraft

With more than 29 million subscribers, Dream is one of the most popular Minecraft content creators on the planet. His in-game avatar is instantly identifiable, with its charmingly crude smiley face mask and bright green color scheme.

Here, we’ll show you how to get the Dream Minecraft skin to use in your own game.

At the time of writing, Dream hasn’t officially shared the skin he uses. The good news, though, is that many custom skin creators are Dream fans.

Online, you can find carbon copies of the YouTuber’s neon green avatar and others that offer a creative twist on the original — all for free!

One of our favorite Minecraft skin repositories is The Skindex. Not only does it have a huge library of custom skins for you to explore, but it even has its own skin editor tool.

So, if you wanted, you could even make your own Dream skin (you can learn how in our article How to Make Minecraft Skins).

Below, we’ll walk you through how to find a Dream skin on The Skindex. Then, we’ll show you how you can download it and import it into Minecraft.

Step 1. Find a Dream Skin

As mentioned above, there are many places to find custom Minecraft skins online. Our favorite is The Skindex.

Open up The Skindex’s website and type “dream” in the search bar at the top of the webpage.

Press enter to begin the search. The website should return a long list of Dream Minecraft skins.

If you want to look just like Dream, the “Dream (Classic) Re-make” skin by NinjaSkinner999 is a pixel-for-pixel recreation of the YouTuber’s iconic Minecraft skin.

NinjaSkinner999’s “Dream (Classic) Re-make” skin is just like the real deal.

We’re also fans of mxstymoon’s take on Dream’s classic skin. It’s much more detailed, using gradients to give the skin a sense of depth.

mxstymoon offers a more detailed rendition of Dream’s in-game skin.

SleepyEef’s “Oh G e o r g e . . .” skin is an incredible tribute to the Minecraft YouTuber, featuring Dream’s unique mask and bright green hoody.

SleepyEef’s skin is perfect for fans who want to showcase their love for Dream.

Take your time and explore the different Dream-inspired skins available on The Skindex (there are tons!). Once you’ve found one that you like, click its thumbnail image to open up the skin’s page.

Step 2. Download the Dream Skin

On the skin’s page, you’ll find more detailed information about the skin you’ve chosen. There’s also a live viewer that lets you rotate and move the skin, so you can see it from all angles.

To download the skin, just click on the “Download” button in the menu to the right.

Pick the folder where you want to save your skin. We recommend somewhere that’s easy to remember, like your Documents or Downloads folder. You’ll need to know its location later when you import the skin into your game.

Step 3. Import the Dream Skin Into Minecraft

The skin you downloaded will work in both Java and Bedrock Editions of Minecraft. However, the process of importing your skin is different for each edition.

Follow the instructions below that apply to your version of Minecraft:

Java Edition

  1. Launch the Minecraft: Java Edition launcher.

You can install new skins from the Minecraft: Java Edition launcher application.

  1. Click on the “Skins” tab.
  2. Click “Add New Skin.”
  3. Name your skin, then click the “Browse” button under Skin File.

  1. Select your custom skin file.
  2. Click on the “Save & Use” button.

Bedrock Edition

  1. Launch Minecraft: Bedrock Edition.
  2. Go to the character select screen.
  3. Create a new character or edit an existing character.

  1. Select the “Classic Skins” tab (it’s the second tab with the picture of three characters standing next to one another).

  1. Click on the “Owned” menu item.
  2. Click on the “Import” button.

  1. Select your custom skin file.
  2. Choose the model type (Classic or Slim).

And that’s it! Now you have a Minecraft character that looks just like Dream’s.

Don’t forget that there are many more awesome custom skins available online, both on The Skindex and on other skin repositories. To import and use them, all you have to do is follow the steps in this guide. Now go out there, and have fun!
