How to fix a PopSocket without tabs

Pop sockets are electronic accessories commonly used with phones and tablets and are made of plastic or metal, depending on the manufacturer. They are usually circular and make a device easier to hold and use when taking selfies. They also make a mobile device easy to mount on any surface. They may be personalized on the Pop socket website and available in several colors.

Pop sockets have a sticky adhesive that allows them to cling to the rear of flat devices or cases. In addition, pop sockets may be pulled outwards like a miniature accordion, allowing the user to insert their finger underneath the pocket and their device, allowing for a more comfortable and secure grasp on their gadget.

Who invented the Pop Socket?

Pop Sockets LLC’s Founder and CEO is David Barnett. Barnett created a prototype using 3D CAD and then launched a Kickstarter campaign. He started selling Pop Sockets out of his garage after that.

In just a few years, his product was being sold in over 40 countries and at most major retailers! The Pop Sockets we know and love today took him 15 months and 60 prototypes to create.

What Is the Purpose of Pop Sockets?

A Pop Socket is generally used as a support for your mobile device as well as a grip. Selfies, watching films, and even texting can all be done with the small device. A Pop Socket is a must-have mobile accessory because of its numerous advantages.

How to fix a pop socket premium?

A step-by-step process of how to fix a pop socket is as under:

Replacing a Pop socket Cap

Locate the slots on the Pop socket funnel’s upper edge. The main component of a Pop socket is a funnel-shaped element that sits above your phone’s adhesive base. Around the rim, there are four little slots. The cap includes four tabs that slip into these slots and keep the cap attached to the funnel.

Best Place to Put Ring Holder on Phone

  • The Pop socket cap is the component of the funnel that fits over the larger aperture. It’s the section with the picture on it unless you have a plain Pop socket.
  • If the funnel has come loose, reattach it before replacing the cap.

Snap the cap’s tabs into the funnel’s open slots. Place the cap on top of the funnel and begin inserting the tabs one by one. To push the cap’s tab through the hole, tilt it gently. After you’ve inserted the first one, move on to the next tab and do the same. Then repeat for the remaining tabs to secure the cap’s opposite end.

  • Use cautious when putting on a cap. Even if you’re unlikely to break one of the tabs or the funnel, take your time to make sure you don’t have to replace it all.

To snap the cap in place, press down on it until you hear a pop. Maintain a firm hold on your phone. Keep your hands on the case’s edges to avoid putting strain on the screen. Then, using your thumb or palm, press hard against the cap. Keep your ear out for a loud pop. It’s an indication that your Pop socket is still in one piece and ready to use, as the name implies.

  • Because the caps on Pop sockets are removable, any cap will fit over the funnel you’re using. You may easily remove the present cap at any time if you want to test a different look.

  • Why won’t my PopSockets Mount stick?

  • How do I install my PopSockets Mount?
    • Suuuper carefully. PopSockets Mounts are designed for 1 time adhesion so choose your area wisely.
    • 1. Wipe down the adhesion area with a little rubbing alcohol and let it dry.
    • 2. Peel back the protective sheet from the 3M VHB pad without touching the pad.
    • 3. Place your Mount firmly to the adhesion area and leave it to rest for 8 hours. This allows the 3M to adhere strongly to the surface so it will work better.
    • If you decide you’d like to change the location of your mount, use the extra 3M VHB sticker that comes in the packaging.
  • Can I move my PopSockets Mount from one place to another?
    • Unfortunately not. Mounts are designed for 1 time adhesion so chose your spot carefully. We also recommend using a little rubbing alcohol to wipe down the adhesion area before sticking your PopSockets Mount.
